    Hello Alexandra,

I just checked out the web page of the PCRM because I had not previously heard of it.
It is good to know that there are professionals out there who actually take health seriously and promote a generally healthy lifestyle rather than the senseless “curing” of the symptoms that seems to be the norm.
I am vegetarian myself, since I was a little child, but have been eating almost entirely vegan since a month, following the suggestion of my doctor (a vegan herself).
I would love to receive this book and put it to good use!
    Thanks for this chance!

    Elena

I am very excited to start getting Nutrition for Empowered Women newsletters in my email. I am looking for tips and tricks on eating healthier but still making food that is tasty for me & my family to enjoy. Often times I don’t want to mess with preparing a meat for a meal and would surely enjoy a copy of Dr. Barnard’s book to get some great ideas on Vegan cooking!

  3. Katherine says:

I saw Dr. Barnard speak about his book Reversing Diabetes a few years ago and really enjoyed his logical, calm, smart approach to health. I also attended several of his Cancer Project vegan food demos/classes. They have some great recipes!

I subscribe to PCRM & have for quite awhile. Getting ready for the 21-day Kickstart Program in Sept. I went through the last one in March.

Got his last newsletter…there was a link to a “preview” of upcoming kickstart. I saw an “Ode to 21-Day Kickstart….started reading and then realized I had written it. Was so surprised! I had written it and posted on the March progam forums. Posted a note on forums about my surprise…..Susan Levin RD responded and said she hoped that was ok to use in newsletter. I told her definitely, and I was honored.

    Here’s the link:

I am new to PCRM. Thanks for the introduction. It sounds like a great thing to forward health and awareness around food.

Hi, Alexandra, Love your website site. I am a student at IIN and will be completing the program in December. I love PCRM’s site and completed my the 21 Day Kickstart back in April. I’ve been telling everyone who will listen to give the upcoming Kickstart a try. Mark your calendar’s, it begins on Sept 6. Meal plans, recipes, great info!!

Once I finish at IIN and start working with clients, I’d love to participate in one of your workshops! I believe a good health coach needs a better, more experienced health coach to keep the them on track!

  10. Lynn S says:

Doing the 21 day PCRM challenge is probably one of the most important things I’ve done in my life. It showed me that I CAN live this lifestyle! It was truly life altering for me and I encourage anyone who is curious about the vegan lifestyle to investigate the PCRM web page because it’s loaded with helpful, supportive information.

  11. I just read Dr. Barnard’s Cancer Survivor Guide. It is the perfect read for people who are just getting into veganism and healthy eating. I photocopied a bunch of pages to mail to my mom!

  12. Jessica C. says:

PCRM is one of the only groups to which I donate money. I appreciate that they are a respected group of educated people who use science to support their arguments. This is one of the only groups that is constantly making measurable change in the world. It’s incredible what they have been able to accomplish.

I can’t wait to read this book, unfortunately I’m living in a country with limited access to books and healthy food. I’m being forced to become more creative in my cooking.

  13. Stefanie F says:

I took the PCRM 21-Day Kickstart January 1 2010. I was vegan during the entire time and felt AMAZING! Unfortunately, after the 21 days were over, I slowly started eating cheese products again (no eggs)…sadly, cheese is my weakness. Need motivation and ideas to GO VEGAN and STAY VEGAN and I think Dr. Barnard’s “The Get Healthy, Go Vegan Cookbook” would be a great start!

  14. Clare McNally says:

Hi Alex, I have not heard of the PCRM before and am now wondering if anything like this exists in Australia. Thanks again for keeping me informed.

  15. Kelly says:

This book is exactly what I need to get my health and diet under control. After the premature birth of my son, my health took a hit, this would help me a lot!

  16. I hadn’t heard of PCRM before. It sounds like a much needed group. A focus on prevention is far better than waiting until people are sick and then trying to figure out how to “cure” the problem.
Also, Thanks to whoever made the comment about the Reversing Diabetes book. I’m going to go to Amazon and check it out.

  17. jocelyn says:

  22. Melissa says:

I love Dr.Barnard & PCRM! I first discovered him on “Christina Cooks” on PBS. Then I visited PCRM’s site and try to share as much info. as possible with others from their site. 24. Amy L. Mow says:

    Hi Alex,

I so happy PCRM exists. It makes a difference to have nutrition integrated into medicine, I feel it has not been a prevalent factor in the past. The cruelty-free advocacy is also very special to us vegans, and I think PCRM has opened a lot of doors for a better future in medicine.

  25. Margaret says:

I just heard about your detox program and your website from the GrilieGril Army and love it! I completed a 30-day raw food detox with my boyfriend recently and found it to be great. I think we are now on the road to healthier eating. From what I have read about the book by Dr. Neal Barnard I think it would be a great way to help keep us on this path. I am looking forward to reading it. Keep up the excellent work on your site!!
